What Aruvello inventories (and what it doesn't)
Most home inventory apps are built to list belongings for an insurance claim. Aruvello focuses on your home itself: the refrigerator, furnace, water heater, washer and other equipment you have to maintain, repair and eventually replace.
For each appliance you can keep the manufacturer, model number, serial number, room, purchase and installation dates, retailer, notes and photos, along with its receipts, manuals and warranties.
Aruvello isn't a full belongings inventory. It has no item values, barcode labels or insurance-claim reports. If that's your main goal, a belongings-focused app is a better fit.
How it works
Add one appliance by hand
Type in the details you know. Leave the rest blank, because nothing is filled in by guesswork.
Or photograph its labelBeta
Aruvello reads the model and serial number from the rating label and shows you how sure it is. You check and correct every field before anything is saved.
Organize by room
Kitchen, laundry, basement, garage and your own custom rooms, across one or several homes.
A guided New Home Scan
A checklist of common appliances with tips on where each label is usually found, so you can work through the house at your own pace.
Where to find model and serial numbers
The rating label is usually a metal or foil sticker. Typical places to look:
- Refrigerator: inside the fresh-food compartment on a side wall, or behind the bottom kick plate.
- Dishwasher: on the edge of the door or the side of the tub, visible when the door is open.
- Washer and dryer: inside the door frame, under the lid, or on the back panel.
- Water heater: on the side of the tank, near the controls.
- Furnace or air handler: inside the lower access panel. Look without removing any electrical covers.
A model number tells you what the appliance is, and a serial number identifies your unit. Keep both, because warranty claims and parts orders often need both.
